Our extrusion lines with twin screw and 4.0 technology, produce same foam strength and quality at lower density in production process. Including best product constancy in sheet thickness and density.

Foam production 4.0 control system is able to collect entire foam production data. From raw materials dosing, recipe mixtures and gas dosing. To extrusion continuous process parameters and downstream cooling and sheet collection parameters on a single platform.

All the collected data are stored in encrypted databases with different access levels. And all in a way that no one can access without permission.

ALEMO FOAMTRACK – 3RD LEVEL OF AUTOMATION PYRAMID:

ALEMO supervision and data acquisition control system was developed as a primary database with storing all foaming data history. Control system gives to foam producers an opportunity for:
• Collection of All foaming process data
• Product history database
• Recipe management
• Product tracking system. Possibility to track back for every single product the exact process parameters. Also recipes for eventual defective products or for top-quality products.
• Visual of parameters and reports for each roll or product lot

THE CONTROL SYSTEM IS EQUIPPED WITH SEVERAL SMART FUNCTIONS – 4TH LEVEL OF AUTOMATION PYRAMID:

AUTO PRE-HEATING AND START FUNCTION
The extruder automatically follows a pre-selected heating and dosing process curve. This reduces the start-up time, energy consumption, foam materials consumption and workforce involved. Gradual heating curve prevents overheating and extends heating elements longevity.

PRODUCT CHANGE FUNCTION
This is a smart automatic product change process that makes transition between recipes fluent and reduces scrap production to minimum possible.

AUTO STOP FUNCTION
This function allows to perform the correct steps to extruder’s safe shut-down or to a safe stand-by position. To prevent eventual dangerous situations during die-change.

AUTO FILTER CHANGE FUNCTION
The extruder’s control system automatically performs the filter change at optimal time. Simply by reducing the throughput, line’s speed and without foam breaking.

NETWORK FUNCTION
This function was developed for larger companies with several foam extruders located in different places or countries. It allows the possibility to share or exchange production and process data for all product recipes stored on specific extruder. In this way, the know-how from one production site/extrusion line, can be shared with all in the network. The best recipes and optimal process parameters for each type of product can be exchanged among factories with ALEMO extruders.
